Okay Now. Let me explain something here. The fist bump is nothing more than another form of a handshake or a pat on the back. It is not a terrorist signal or nor did it come from the black power movement as one paper here in NJ suggested.
The fist bump can mean:
What's up
You got that off.
You/we did it.
Good job/ Nice play
It's just another form in a long line of greetings African Americans have used in an attempt to be different than the generation before them.
Thank God the Obama's didn't use the old hand shake we used to use back in the late 70's and early 80's that had like 3 or 4 different moves. Some of you know what I'm talking about.
Can you imagine the panic that would have set off?
In the end the fist bump issue is much ado about nothing.
