Have you proofread your text or relied on a spell checker? Computer spell check programs don't catch many common mistakes. Check these out for example - "and" or "an" and "knew" or "new". Plus there are many other words like these that just get by the spell checker on your computer. I am a freelance proofreader. I am in the process of expanding my resume and would like to add fiction to my experience. I do old style proofreading (checking for spelling and punctuation errors) of your manuscript. I will proofread a chapter of anything you are currently writing at no charge. Materials should be no shorter than ten pages and no longer than thirty pages. My schedule is fairly flexible; turn-around time will depend on the length of material. I can indicate corrections either on Microsoft Word using the Track Changes feature or on a hard copy. In exchange, I ask that you allow me to add your name and the title of your work to my resume. I will not plagiarize your work or share it with anyone else. I love to read and write myself. Finding mistakes just seems to be a knack I have. E-mail me and we'll work out the details. If you don't live in the immediate area, I can handle it by doing it over the Internet. Thank you in advance, Yolanda Allen y-allen@hotmail.com New York, NY
