Eyes of Africa: In Eyes of Africans, author Victorine D. Ngangu paints a realistic picture in the minds of the reader regarding the present day political, cultural and social conditions in Africa.
The question of African politics and politicians to encourage the growth of state business, to help maintain an economic and social poverty within the general African population is yet to be answered. Why is it that the authorities of Western countries continue to support these regimes when no significant change occurs in these states and the living conditions of the general African population remains so miserable?

On the continent of Africa, hundreds of thousands of people are dying every year because of diseases caused by poor sanitation. Today, many African countries are still deficient in basic care systems and insufficient food for their populations. Yet we know that in numerous countries (for example, the Nile region) the soil is sufficiently rich for self-sustaining agriculture for its population.

At the same time, corruption is eating away at all activities in African countries. Billions of dollars in aid are given to African politicians in order to encourage development-oriented politics in their countries and there is little progress to show for it.
