Ever been in a love affair . . . .

"Reflections" by Vermel Kinmon is a story about how a web of secrets, lies, and deception ushers a cherished bond between two friends into an unspoken love affair.

Good friends are hard to find. That’s what Tiana used to believe until she met Darrell. For the last five years he has been the big brother and best friend she has needed to help her cope with her troubled past and her shoulder to cry on during the obstacles of the present. At least that’s what her mind tells her, but her heart is yearning for more.

On the outside everything seems to be going well in Darrell’s life. He has a great career and has been in a long term relationship with a beautiful therapist for the past three years, but on the inside things are not so pretty. Darrell’s close friendship with Tiana is causing drama within his household and havoc on his emotions.

“Were just friends”, used to be a truthful statement for both Tiana and Darrell, but with the intensity of a blossoming relationship for Tiana and the mounting tension of Darrell’s, proves to make that statement an old figment of their imagination.

After reading REFLECTIONS by Vermel Kinmon, I found myself visualizing what would happen if I decided that I wanted to be a cardiac surgeon. THAT DOG AIN'T GONE HUNT! Although I have had many biology courses, A&P and have dabbled in other subjects that cirmcumvented the medical field, I must do as Shakespeare once wrote, "To thine own self be true." It's all about preparedness--and of course, talent. Like an unsharpened pencil, where is the point. This book has been written many times before by many writers--only better. My advice to you, Ms. Kinmon, is if you indeed want to be a writer who sells and wants her material to have a universal appeal, you should study and read other writers' works. In closing, paragraphs organized on pages do not an author make.
